First and Always:
RJB Contracting Inc. is committed to employee
and workplace safety. No job is too large or
small that safety does not matter. We are proud
to say that RJB has kept our jobs safe and
productive through employee education and
involvement.
Our employees are instructed and supplied
with all the newest safety equipment to keep
their health priority one. Employees are
educated through weekly toolbox talks involving
different tasks on site. In the spring and fall
continuing education for employees starts and
includes: fall protection, confined space and
extraction, ladders, scaffolding, CPR/First aid,
all terrain forklift licensing, industrial lift
truck licensing, auto and truck defensive
driving, aerial lifts, powder actuated fastening
systems, propane and temporary heating and
ground heater operations. When needed, new
classes, as well as a Job Hazard Analysis are
added to keep employees abreast of matters
concerning job-related tasks and to answer any
questions that may arise.
Foremen at RJB go through a 30-hour OSHA
course to help implement OSHA safety
regulations, recognize an unsafe act before it
happens, and eliminate violations and employee
accidents on site. Combined safety and education
equals safe sites.
Thanks to cooperation from workers, foremen
and the support of management RJB Contracting
was awarded The Hartford’s Safety Award of Merit
for August 2001 through August 2002 and we look
forward to continuing that record.
